TwinPro investigates the combination of digital twin technology and modular production equipment (Module Type Package, MTP) in industrial laboratory environments. In collaboration with Merck KGaA as industry partner, the project develops and evaluates a prototype digital twin that integrates data from an electronic laboratory notebook and a process orchestration layer. A key focus is interoperability: identifying suitable data standards to enable communication between heterogeneous systems.
